Swirling blues large pitcher
Description
This large pitcher was wheel-thrown, altered, and eventually, soda-fired. The blues are amazing, ranging from deep cobalt to subtle silver blue crystals. The clay is high-fire white stoneware. The handle was fashioned by braiding lengths of clay. It is an entrancing piece with interesting effects from the soda. It holds a little more than 6 cups (1.5 quarts). This would make a fine batter bowl.The glaze is food-safe, microwave and dishwasher safe, as well, but it's size makes it more practical to hand wash!
