Blue and Green Slip Trailed Soap/Candle Holder

Description

This is a great dish for soap, tealight candle, butter or dips. The clay is made into a slab and then laid into a square template. Once it is dry enough, I clean up all of the edges and then trail it with slip. In the finishing process, it is glazed in a cream glaze with blue and green glazes sprayed on top and then fired to 2200 degrees farinheit.

All pottery from Janson Pottery is created by hand from soft clay using a potter's wheel or slabroller. All wares are made from porcelain and are very durable. All glazes are non-toxic and are suitable for use in the microwave and dishwasher, although handwashing will prolong their life. I hope that you enjoy using it as much as I have enjoyed making it!
