Handknit Felted Red Hat With Fire Band

Description

This felted hat reminds me of the heat of summe and a blazing fire.
First handknit, then felted to create this lovely shape, it was knit with soft red Peruvian Highland wool.
The band was knit in with my own handspun, handpainted yarn, made with merino and mohair wool. The mohair gives the band a beautiful fuzzy texture.
The brim of the hat is a wide rolled up brim, which can also be worn down or up in front, and down in back and vice versa. This gives the hat a lot of versatility and style.
Felt is naturally water resistant, warm, durable and soft.
The dimensions of this hat are a head circumference of 23 inches and height of 6 inches, with natural stretch to accommodate different head sizes. If you like this hat, but the dimensions are wrong for your head size, please contact me - I can shrink or enlarge this hat for you.
