Brown Ammonite Fossil Pendant wire wrapped with 12kt gold filled wire

Gorgeous fossil stone and it is one of a kind. This pendant was wire wrapped with 12kt gold filled wire. Notice the detail of the fossil tail! I have also included a picture of the backside which shows the detail as well. This stone would be beautiful with either a very elegant chain or even cording which I can provide.

Please clean with 1/2 and 1/2 ammonia and warm water as needed.

Additional information:

A little history of this stone. The origin is Morocco. This fossil is commonly known as Ammonite. Ammonites were part of same family as squids but were basically a prehistoric nautilus. The patterns in the shell are from the different body chambers that lay on the bottom of the waters. The ammonites name is derived from the god ammon (ammons horns- where the word horny comes from) and were used for fertility rites in the past. So there you have it and it can be yours. Beautiful and very unique.
