Chakra Poppet 2

Description

This is one of the newest members of my Poppet line. She and her sister started out as Gemstone Poppets for the upcoming Pagans of Etsy Street Team Challenge, but they had something else in mind. They transformed themselves into Chakra Poppets instead.

Chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "Wheel". Chakras are sort of energy centres in a person's body. They can be wheels or vortices...this is a link on Chakras, because I'm not up on them:

She's made from a Styrofoam Cone for her body and a Styrofoam Egg for her head. The forms are covered with a Cotton Quilter's Fabric. Her hands and face are white and her clothing has circles made of dots that just screamed out for sparklies in the centres. The cotton fabric for this poppet is white with black dots and rhinestones in the centres of the circles. It's made exclusively for Joann's Fabric and the name is simply Modern by M'liss Rae Hawley. Her hair is black and made of Red Heart acrylic yarn and she has a bindi over her Third Eye.

She stands a little over 9 inches tall and about 4 inches wide at her feet.

She is NOT recommended for children under 3 because of the decorations and googly eyes that could be taken off and swallowed.

She's also more of a creation to be looked at rather than played with...but she'll be a nice addition to a doll collection or on your altar.
