To Float ( 浮き pronounced “ooh-key”)

Example: The phrase “Floating on air.” - “Chuu ni Uku.” - 宙に浮く【ちゅうにうく】

Media:
== Hanshi - Japanese rice paper commonly used for shodou. Measures approximately 10" x 13" (25.4cm x 33.02cm).
== Sumi - Charcoal stick that is ground into water to create ink for shodou and sumi-e.
== Stamp pad specifically designed for hanko (a seal or chop).

Inspiration:
My boyfriend plays Guitar Hero World Tour when he’s in the mood to rock out. One of the songs on the playlist is “Float On” by Modest Mouse. I liked the message that while things are bad right now, we’ll all float on (alright) to better days.

Style:
Gyosho is my favorite style. I can show a little expression and still recognize the character I am writing.
