Verdigis and Kyanite Earrings
Description
3" long by 1" wide earrings of vintage brass stampings with a spiral, filigree motif to which I have applied a verdigris patina. I have taken the liberty of manipulating them a bit and adding smooth, kyanite drops. The kyanite has a lovely streak of Tanzanite in one drop. These earrings are finished with gold-filled, French wires.I stumbled upon a cache of vintage brass, bronze and copper stampings. I was just so taken with their beauty and form I had to work with them in some way-- they truly have a grace from another era and constantly inspire me.
