White linen, leaf shapes, smooth black frames: how simple is that?

The two motifs are elements of traditional folk embroidery of Kaszuby (Kassubia) region or northern Poland. More information about the region: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kashubians

They were hand embroidered by my Mother, who has practiced the craft for 30+ years. I, in turn, designed the color scheme, backed the fabric with acid free watercolor paper, making them into regulation size ACEOs (2.5 by 3.5). They are titled, signed and dated on the back. I framed the pieces in aluminum frames. With frame, each is 3.5 by 4.5 in (8.5 by 11 cm).
