Eve and Serpent Tile
Description
The Bible's first woman Eve reaches for the forbidden fruit as the snake watches. Apple cores form a cross in the foliage. A truly tempting tile!This relief tile is hand pressed in stoneware and glazed in a reddish brown, which is sponged off the raised portions, emphasizing its sculptural dimension.
Tile measures roughly 7 inches high by 4 inches wide and is thinner than most of my tiles, about 3/8 of an inch thick at the edges.
It is notched on the back so it can hang on a nail.
