The Cage Skirt - Custom Order, any size, any colour

This skirt is inspired by a few different high-end designers who have made various versions of "cage" inspired clothing. You may be thinking, "a skirt that's a cage how the heck do you wear it?!". Well, I think this is one of those pieces that is more of an accessory than an actual garment.

You could layer it over skinny jeans, tights or a skirt, or pair it up with a frothy frilly dress and play with contrast a bit. As you can see by the outfits put together by the many lovely bloggers pictured, this piece could be worn in sooooo many ways. It's perfect for someone who likes to challenge fashion conventions a bit, and likes to get creative with their layering.

The skirt is made of hand cut seam binding, pressed and stitched closed along all edges. The strips are stitched together at each joint, and two metal studs can also been added to each joint (this tends to show up better on the solid colours, not so much on the florals/patterns). Each metal stud is applied by hand with needle nosed pliers with a special technique to avoid scratching the studs. It's very time consuming, but worth it! The skirt closes at the front with a chunky metal teeth zipper and a tab/button closure at the waist.

Your custom skirt will be made to your own personal waist, hip and length measurements. Since this item is custom made to your measurements it may take from a couple days up to a month to complete, depending on how many other orders I have lined up and fabric availability. I'll do my best to get it to you ASAP, just keep in mind that all my designs are made with my own two hands, so a little time is necessary ;)

You can also choose the following options:

-Colour: Pretty much the sky's the limit, check out some of the images in this listing for ideas, as well as some of my sold items.

-Studs: You can choose no studs, square silver, dome silver & round gold

-Zipper: Metal teeth or plastic teeth, your choice!

-Buttons: metal, coloured plastic, fabric covered...there are so many options, we'll work together to pick the best one for YOUR skirt, or if you're not sure I'm happy to pick out a pair that will compliment your colour combo.

-IMPORTANT: The ruffled option as seen on some custom skirts I have done is NOT included in this cage skirt listing, as this is a lengthy process the cost is not the same. Convo me for more details.
