Description

This delicate porcelain bowl adorned with a spray of pink peonies is one of the prettiest I've seen. It would be especially lovely on a sideboard or low table where the design could be appreciated.

Lush peonies blossom on a white background on this beautiful serving bowl. At first I thought this bowl was hand painted, because of the beautiful detail, but upon further investigation I am fairly certain the design is a decal or transfer. The rim, which measures 10.5" in diameter, is lightly edged with gold. The large open bowl is accented with dimensional scrolls and swirls, and measures 3" deep. The bowl is marked simply, "GERMANY 133".

This bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. The only condition issue I see is a flaw in the transfer design that I suspect was from the manufacturer. It shows in the photos as a line of darker green across the leaves of the small blossom. It is no way distracts from the charm of the piece.
