Choose a Letter - Circles in Sterling Silver (925) Custom Earrings

Description

This is one design from a collection of things that have been in the works for a while. I start with sterling silver sheet and cut out the circles. I stamp the circle with your choice of letters, and then give it a convex shape. Next I file down the edges and add a patina to the letter so it stands out. You can choose to have two of the same letters or two different letters for this pair of earrings. The letters are an uppercase typewriter font. I give the silver discs a matte finish and then coat them in a microcrystalline wax that will prevent them from tarnishing.

The diameter of the disc is 1/2 of an inch (12.5mm). The length from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the disc is 1 1/4 inches (31mm). I include rubber backs for the ear wire. The ear wire is handmade of sterling silver, and is available for purchase by themselves.
