Green Ruffled Disk Kiln-Fired Enamel Earrings

Description

Copper hand formed into a delicate ruffled disks then dusted with powdered glass and fired to 1425 degrees. They are very comfortable, and have movement. This pair is one of my custom blends several shades of Green. Numerous shades of enamel are layered to produce these color. The enamel was then treated so it has a matte finish, making it look like ceramic. Oxidized sterling is used to make the handcrafted elongated hoops.

Disks: Back disk: 7/8" middle disk: 5/8", Front disk: 3/8"(silver)

Enameling is fusing glass to metal, in this case copper. Each piece is fired multiple times including the back.
