The Wine-dark Sea

Description

A more elaborate variation on my Blue Peter necklace, The Wine-dark Sea is named for another novel in the Master and
Commander series by Patrick O'Brian, which have often been compared to Jane Austen novels set on the high seas.

A gorgeous, beautifully faceted Peruvian blue chalcedony briolette, the color of a tropical sea, hangs from an antiqued sterling silver chain that closes with a sterling silver S-clasp. Adding drama to the pendant are hand-wrapped baubles of faceted labradorite and wine-colored garnet beads, hanging from sterling silver headpins. The necklace measures 18 inches in length, the pendant is a full inch and a half in length, including the dangles.

A necklace equally fit for adventures at sea or on land.
