A more fanciful take on my steampunk squid. This clockwork cephalopod is in a rich royal blue and bright silver edging with cutout area containing tiny watch gears sealed under a bubble of diamond glaze. A great gift for the cephalopod obsessed, science fans, and sea lovers.

Like the octopus, cuttlefish, and nautilus, squid are cephalopods. There are around 300 different species classified into 29 species. The Giant Squid is the largest and one of the least known squid in the oceans. A live Giant Squid was not photographed until 2004 and first filmed in 2006.
