In addition to the storage uses for this bench it also has a convenient height to put your shoes on in the morning or simply use it for additional seating at your table.

All of our primitive country benches feature solid joinery and are built to last. Not simply nailed and screwed together. The legs are dadoed to the sides and the shelf is also dadoed into the legs.

This interlocks the sides to the legs and the shelf to the legs. This process will give you a bench much sturdier and longer lasting then something just nailed or screwed together.

Standard size is 17 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 48 inches long.

Other standard sizes available from 24 inches to 60 inches long and it can also be made wider or higher for use as a table.

Shown in Carriage Black, distressed with a hand rubbed coat of Antiquing Glaze.

Milk Paints:
Buttercup Yellow, Goldenrod Yellow, Olde Clay Red, Sugar House Brown, Mulberry Red, Saratoga Blue, Settlers Blue, Dark Mallard Blue, Hemlock Green, Holley Hill Green, Carriage Black, Olde Mustard.

All of these colors are also available with a finish coat of Antiquing Glaze or Honey Glaze. The antiquing Glaze will darken the color slightly and add a chestnut brown patina to the paint very similar to an antiquing wax. The Honey Glaze will add a slight amber patina.

The finish can also be distressed. We offer a light distressing or a medium distressing. The pictures shown with distressing are all medium distressed. The paint is worn off in certain areas to give a time worn, polished, washed and used appearance.

A light distressing will have he paint "worn" off the edges and the corners will be gently rounded off. The paint will also have a lightly washed aged look.
Both of these distressed finishes will be random and know two pieces will be exactly the same.
