Original watercolor.
These paintings take me about 4 hours to complete.
This is a negative watercolor. It is started by dropping colors onto wet watercolor paper. As it dries I start looking for shapes. Then I paint the negative space around the spapes to develope the positive. In this case flowers. I add very little detail to the flowers so it keeps the spontaneous flow that happens at the onset of the painting.
The painting is painted in the center of the paper which I taped off to have a clean line. When I remove the tape the watercolor seems to pop on the white background.
The image size is 4 7/8" X 6 7/8". Outside of white watercolor paper is 9" X 12".
Signed on back and within the painting. Painting can be turned and view in any direction.
Painting is sold unmatted and unframed.
Leaving you the choice to frame to your liking, leaving as much white as you like.
I try my best to take color accurate photos. Depending on monitors the colors may be slightly different.
