Drum Carding Service (for 3oz of roving)

Description

This is a new service I am offering here at Wind Rose Fiber Studio. Drum carded fiber is wonderful to work with. It's soft, well blended and easy to draft. Now, not only can you pick and choose your fiber, you can have it carded as well. This listing is for the carding of three ounces of fiber.

For example, lets say you are shopping here and you select an ounce of Merino, an ounce of Soy Silk and an ounce of Firestar. You love the colors and would like to have them carded. You just purchase this listing at the same time as you are buying your fiber and I will card your three fibers for you.

This service only applies to items purchased here at Wind Rose and this listing must be purchased at the same time as your fiber. I charge $2 per ounce for carding. If you would like more or less than 3 ounces carded, please contact me so that I can create a Custom Carding Service Listing just for you.

I like to treat my Drum Carder with TLC which means I don't like to overload it. Three ounces of fiber will be carded into two 1.5oz batts. The fiber will be fed into the drum carder in the same order for each batt.

If you have any requests for the specific order in which your fiber is carded, please send me a message to that affect at your time of purchase.

For over a year I have enjoyed selling fiber by the ounce here at Etsy. I love the idea of my customers being able to choose from a wide variety of colors and fibers to create their own works of art. I am so pleased to now offer this additional service!

(The fiber batt pictured in this listing was designed by two former crochet students of mine. It is a 1.5oz batt of Merino, Soy Silk and Firestar in the shades Teal and Spruce.)
