Owl in Yellow and Black

Description

Inspired by the colors of a bumble bee, this handmade soft sculpture owl is a lovely home accent piece.

Each of my birds is made by hand in my home studio. I sewed this owl from 100% cotton fabrics and stuffed him with 100% wool. He stands on wire legs that I've wound tightly with torn strip of fabric and metallic thread. His talons are wire wrapped with black floral tape.

This owl has wise embroidered eyes and a stuffed fabric beak. I made his wing and tail feathers by looping torn strips of cotton fabric and sewing them down one by one.

From toes to ears, this owl is about 15" tall.
