the glow, part 2 pendula III enamel earrings / gold yellow orange

Description

although these earrings don't have anything specific in common with the wonderful band the microphones, i thought the album title would be a good fit for these warm hued earrings. in abstract though, i see a resonance between the soft strums and tape hiss and the warm glow of a summer day, languid and tinged with sunlight.



a meeting of transparent red gold, butter yellow, and butternut squash orange enamels. these domed copper and enamel discs dangle from sterling silver wires which hang from sterling silver ear wires. they'll dance and swing when you do!

copper disc backs have been heat patina'd, initialed, and sealed with lacquer.

pendula vary in length from 2" - 2.75" (5 - 7 cm) and enjoy occasionally brushing against your shoulders. please see the self-portrait photo for a sense of scale.
