Summer! Everything about summer should be relaxed and easy. Just grab your purse and head out into the sunshine. This fun purse looks like complicated colorwork but is actually a simple slipstitch pattern. It calls for Sugar ‘n’ Cream for the yarn. Nothing complicated, nothing fussy, just fun.

MATERIALS needed
Lily Sugar ‘n’ Cream [100% Cotton;120 yd/110m per 70.9g skein]; color: [AC] White; 2 skeins, [BC] Pink; 1 skeins, [CC] Green; 1 skeins
Purse handles—The purse shown uses 2 bamboo Straight handles and 2 Bamboo U handles.

GAUGE
Gauge for Sugar ‘n’n Cream as listed on the ball band 20 sts/26 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
Gauge for Sugar ‘n’n Cream with 2 strands held together as in the pattern 12 sts/16 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
Gauge for Sugar ‘n’n Cream with 2 strands held together as in the pattern is approximately 14 sts/13 rows = 4" in slip stitch pattern.
But it doesn’t really matter. You can do this is any yarn at any gauge—you’ll just get a different sized purse.
