D.I.Y. French Knitting Zine

Description

This is a zine is all about French Knitting - history, trivia, how to make a French knitting loom/spool by re-purposing everyday household stuff (what can you use, now that wooden cotton reels are far from common?), a basic how to French knit, the discoveries I made from my French knitting experiments, a funky project to make your own wine glass charms, a list of resources if you want to explore further, and more ideas. There are also a couple of interactive sections to fill in with your own ideas!

If you remember French knitting fondly from your childhood, this zine will prompt you to try it out all over again - and the beauty of it is, this zine will show you how to do it at no cost at all. Both eco-friendly, and economical!

This is a quarter-size (10.5 x 15 cm approx.) zine, with 12 pages (plus covers). It is printed on recycled papers, and has a simple, hand-stitched binding.
