Organic Heirloom Royal Burgundy Garden Beans are known for their delicious dark purple garden beans. This colorful variety has tender, round, and stringless 4-6" pods that turn a bright emerald green when cooked. You can harvest them as snap beans while young or let them mature for dry shelled beans, too. This variety would benefit from staking or trellising in our experience and the pictured garden beans are from our early 2009 crop- aren't they lovely and unique? Royal's are ready to harvest in approximately 60-100 days.
