I wanted to make some gloves from this yarn ever since I saw it in someone else’s stash, I had been itching to knit something with it and in my head I could see what it was. The colourway is from a series of yarns created by Skeinqueen, inspired by Pushing Daisies TV series. The fairisle pattern is almost a circle that shifts along on each repeat. The pattern is knit in the contrast colour yarn and the thumb has a different pattern. In my head I was thinking of Olive Snook, circles, strange quirks and sunny days

Recommended Yarn:
The yarn is hand dyed by Skein Queen, Squash, fingering/ 4ply (14 wpi) UK merino yarn, dyed in the UK. Machine wash on cool cycle

This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters.
Skills required: Chart reading, Knitting in the round, Magic Loop/ DPN’s, Stranded knitting

Finished Size:
(xs) 16.5cms/ 6.5 inches long and 13cms/5-5.5 inches wide,
(s) 19cms/ 7.5 inches long and 15-16cms/6.-6.5 inches wide
(m) 21.5cms/ 8.5 inches long and 16-17cms/6.5 - 7 inches wide
(l) 23cms/ 9 inches long and 19-20cms/7.5 -8 inches wide

To determine your size, wrap a flexible tape measure around the knuckles of your dominant hand, excluding the thumb, and find the circumference
For smaller and larger sizes, use the needles as listed below.

Gauge, stocking st unblocked following the chart in the round = 5cm /2 inches
(xs) 22 sts / 22 rows (s) 20 sts / 20 rows
(m) 18 sts / 18 rows (l) 16 sts / 16 rows

Needles and notions:
(xs) 2mm for edging, 2.5mm (s) 2.25mm for edging, 2.75mm
(m) 2.5mm for edging, 3mm (l) 2.75mm for edging, 3.25mm
This pattern is knit on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. You can alternatively use either the 2 circular needle method or set of 5 DPN’s..
