THE STORY:

"It was believed in former days, and in some countries still, that people could do harm simply by looking at a person.
We all know the saying, 'If looks could kill'. Well, this was actually believed to be possible in the old days.
The look of certain people, who had the evil eye, was supposed to bring misfortune, sickness and even death upon their victims. This does not have to be a human, as the evil eye could also be fatal to cattle and homes.
The first glance was supposed to be the most 'fatal' so people invented all sorts of things, such as amulets, to distract the evil eye......"

HOW IT IS MADE:

The amulet was made from terracotta clay and was hand painted afterwards with copper and black paint. Inside the amulet a fake eye was placed.
At last the entire amulet was varnished and attached to a leather string. Three little bells were placed at the bottom for decoration and to scare away evil!

Size: All sides are 4 cm = 1.6 inch
