Zombuki Kokeshi Doll 11 - Don Quixote - Skull Version - OOAK

Description

Don Quixote is a one of a kind (OOAK) wooden kokeshi Zombuki doll that has been hand painted in shades of moss green with splashes of red, orange, and white. Don Quixote has been made using a wide variety of techniques and materials, including vintage beads, and has been lovingly hand painted. Don Quixote's color scheme was inspired by a Tim Biskup painting of the same name.

Don Quixote measures 3" tall and has been sealed with a mild gloss sealant for extra protection. Don has been initialed on the inside, in line with the kokeshi tradition. My kokeshi are currently featured in the 2009 Kokeshi Show at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

The Zombuki kokeshi are for display only and are not, in any way, intended to be toys! It will be shipped in a small box for extra protection.

Zombuki are Pullip, Dal, and Blythe - and now Kokeshi! - dolls which I customized in my own strange style, it's why the shop is called "Zombukis Love You"! More information on the Zombuki can be found on zombuki.com :3

Kokeshi are traditional wooden Japanese dolls and mine are inspired by the wonderful tradition of these tiny works of art. Blank kokeshi dolls can be found in the "Kokeshi Dolls and Blanks" section of my shop if you would like to create your own.
