Alotau, handspun Merino/silk art yarn with gems

Description

Alotau is a place in Papua New Guinea and since that to me is already quite exotic in its own right, this yarn features only the finest fibres and gems.
The Merino/silk mix has been hand dyed in a lush range of yellows and pinks. The yarn has then been handspun with the addition of large coral beads and small gemstone beads and chips. The golden sparkle of the Lurex thread adds a nice something to it.

This yarn is just waiting to be transformed into a stunning accessory!

50% Merino wool/50% silk, gems (rose quartz, citrine, red coral, peridot, honey jade cubes, olive jade), lurex thread.

100m/109 yards, 118g/4.2oz, worsted-bulky weight
