Vintage 80s Mondi Shirtwaist Dress - Indigo Blue and Cream Floral Design

This vintage 80s West Germany Mondi dress is so beautiful! Even though it's not that old, the design details harken to the 40s style that I so love.

I bought this dress from a lovely Etsy vintage shop, and the dress is in fabulous condition. However, the top part of the dress is a bit snug in a certain area on me, and regretfully I'm going have to find a new home for it.

The dress is a dark indigo (navy) blue in color, with a small cream flower print all over the dress, with further cream designs circling the bottom of the sleeves and the hem of the dress. The dress buttons down the front and has nine pearly shell buttons.

There are pleats throughout the skirt area of the dress at the waist, with fewer pleats going from the waist upward. There are two deep inset pockets at the hip area. It would look great with a wide creamy belt cinching in the waist! The dress is in excellent condition.

The dress was made in Portugal, and the size information has worn off the tag.

The actual measurements of the dress are:

* Bust: 36"
* Shoulder-to-waist: 17"
* Waist: 30"
* Hips: 44"
* Waist-to-hem: 34"
* Sleeve length: 12"

This dress is from my pet-free and smoke-free home and I only tried it on once after purchasing it from a vintage shop at Etsy.
