Zombuki Kokeshi Doll 12 - Haumea - Turquoise and Lime - One of a Kind

Description

Haumea is a one of a kind (OOAK) wooden kokeshi Zombuki doll that has been hand painted in shades of turquoise and lime green with splashes of red, yellow, and white. Haumea has been made using a wide variety of techniques and materials, including vintage beads, and has been lovingly hand painted. Haumea is named after the Hawaiian goddess of fertility and childbirth.

Haumea measures 3.5" tall and has been sealed with a mild gloss sealant for extra protection. Haumea has been initialed on the inside, in line with the kokeshi tradition. My kokeshi are currently featured in the 2009 Kokeshi Show at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

The Zombuki kokeshi are for display only and are not, in any way, intended to be toys! She will be shipped in a small box for extra protection.

Zombuki are Pullip, Dal, and Blythe - and now Kokeshi! - dolls which I customized in my own strange style, it's why the shop is called "Zombukis Love You"! More information on the Zombuki can be found on zombuki.com :3

Kokeshi are traditional wooden Japanese dolls and mine are inspired by the wonderful tradition of these tiny works of art. Blank kokeshi dolls can be found in the "Kokeshi Dolls and Blanks" section of my shop if you would like to create your own.
