Preparation:
When I stumbled upon this vintage dress at the Salvation Army, I knew that I could give it a second leg on life. The fabric was such a beautiful palette, and the pleats across the torso were irresistible. What wasn't too flattering was the long shoulder padded sleeves, or excessive hem length. So I cropped off the top completely and took up the hem to create a beautiful modern frock.
