Vintage 1950s dress pattern - McCall's 8590
Description
July 8, 1951. Paris celebrates its 2,000th birthday. The whole city was in uproar. There were flowers everywhere, dancing in the streets and impromptu parties everywhere you looked. It was universally agreed that the most patriotic choice of dress was something in red, white or blue (but that all three colors of the Tricolor at once would be a little too much). Recreate a little bit of that Parisian chic with this 1951 pattern by McCall's. The color? Up to you!Dress has calf-length four-gored skirt, gathered bodice and back neck interest. There is a choice of three sleeve variations, short, bracelet length, or long.
Pattern is copyrighted 1951.
Size: 34" bust
Condition: Printed pattern pieces and instructions are all present and correct. Some pattern pieces have been cut, others are unused. Pattern envelope is torn around edges, and has been taped up the side a little by a previous owner. They've done a good job with matte tape- this taping is barely noticeable.
