These felt pieces are made using ancient and new techniques. The felt throws are made of alpaca, wool, and lincoln longwool. Lincoln longwool is one of the four English longwool breeds. The lincoln is rare around the world and is globally endangered. The wool is long and lustrous and is a beautiful wool to work with.

This felt throw is made from wool fleece that I got from a shepherd in Tennessee. This grey and silver fleece came from a lamb.

I clean and pick the wool that I then needle felt with other natural colored alpaca fibers and wool and then finish by wet felting.

This throw has a nice soft hand and is very fluid. I've embellished the throw with three pom poms. They are made of three different natural grey color alpaca lace weight yarn.

This piece measures 36 inches by 48 inches.
