Rogue - X-Men Inspired Art Yarn
Description
This is the second yarn of our X-Men inspired range (the first being Adamantium), this time a tribute to Rogue, the girl who is lonely due to the fact that she drains life from the people she touches. She is very close to Logan/Wolverine, which shows in the aluminum angelina (the same I used for the Adamantium yarn) I've spun in, and to Iceman, which is why I chose to use crystal clear, facetted glass beads. I had thought of using silk stripes to represent the glove Rogue always wears, but decided against it for technical reasons. The colours are inspired by that special lady's hair, of course, and I put a bit of red in because somehow, I always have the combination of black, red and white in my mind when I think about Rogue.This special art yarn has been spun from a soft, black wool/silk blend, a small amount of red linen/flax, white bamboo and Angelina (glittery fibre). Facetted glass beads of different shapes add sparkle. I have spun this yarn using the core spinning technique, which results in a wonderfully lofty and soft yarn with unique texture.
