Intaglio Roman Soldier Ring

The vintage glass cabochon features a Roman soldier. Intaglio is Italian for 'cut in' or 'carved'. The soldier design is recessed in the surface of the pressed glass. The glass is a gun metal color, and is a nice contrast to the sterling silver. I've set the cabochon in a silver bezel, and it sits on a sterling silver ring band. The simple design of the ring allows the soldier to be the feature. This ring could also be used as a signet ring to make a mark in low temp sealing wax.

The top of the ring measures 9/16" (14 mm.) by 1/2" (12 mm.) by 3/16" (5 mm.). The ring band is 1/8" wide. Your ring will be made to order in your size, just notate the size you would like in the the buyer's notes when purchasing.
