Golden Poppy square pendant in 18k gold vermeil - hand drawn art

Description

This pretty little piece features my signature poppy flower (the Coquelicot) framed within a square pendant. It is fabricated in sterling silver and plated in 18k gold vermeil.

The pendant measures 5/8" x 5/8" (16mm). It hangs from my signature hidden bail from a 16" 18k vermeil chain.

This pendant is one of a kind.

What is Vermeil?
Vermeil (pronounced ver-MAY) is a term for gold plated over sterling silver. When the core metal is a precious metal (such as sterling silver), the resulting piece has the look and feel of real gold, but is much more affordable. The thickness of the gold finish on vermeil jewelry is 2.5 microns. It is as durable as gold filled, and if cared for properly will wear better and last longer than regular gold plated jewelry.
