Beanie Blocks

Ten years ago I had so much fun crocheting these simple tight fitting hats. Out of fashion for adults since then I recently found out little girls fancied my leftover hats from that time a lot and so I made this one in a small size suitable for kids, but it stretches to an XS adult's head.

Here I played with a cute motif in blocks but all is still done in simple dc and sc.

The display doll I use is about 3 feet 3'' or 1 meter tall. The head meaures about 20'' or 50 cm around, but the hat will stretch easily to 21'' or 53 cm.

Please note that my model is slick, bald and the ears are rigid. On a real head the hat will have more grip and will pull down deeper over the ears even if the head is larger than my model.

All my work is done in reused or leftover yarns. In this case a neighbour passed on a large skein of acrylic to me she didn't need anymore. I'd never buy acrylic but as I saved it from the landfill I consider all I made from it guilt free.

This item ships as a letter of 20-50 grams.
