Plank - a tiny 2 by 4
this unique pendant is a collaboration between my husband & I. He is also an artist, a painter & printmaker, so he has applied his engraving techniques the the wax plank I gave him.
this pendant was carved in wax, engraved on all 6 sides with hand drawn faux bois texture, and then cast directly into sterling silver using the lost wax process. solid sterling.
I have oxidized this wood grain pendant to give the engraved lines a dark finish, and then the surface was wire brushed to highlight the wood grain texture. ridges will shine slightly with wear.

This is a substantial chunk of silver, heavy for it's size.
3.5 cm tall by 9 mm wide by 4 mm deep.
Pendant is hung on a 16'' long sterling silver chain.
