This listing is for a great embroidery design for your home embroidery machine.

If you have your own embroidery machine and have always wanted to make a set of runes, here is your chance!
This set comes with 3 separate embroidery files that will each fit within a 4x4 inch machine embroidery hoop. They are a "made in the hoop" project and the directions are as simple to follow!

I use a wool blend felt from the fabric store for my runes to make them soft and simple. The edges don't fray so you won't have to finish the edges in any special way. If you would like a pure and natural organic project, why not use 100% organic wool felt and an organic thread. Wool or cotton or sok are faily easy to find on the internet. And rather than using the spray and tear away stabilizer, use an extra layer of felt and carefully placed tape or pins to hold your second layer (step 6 below).

How to make your Rune Set!
1) Hoop Stabilizer*
2) Spray with spray on stabilizer such as Sulky KK2200 or 505 Spray
3) Stick Felt** to stabilizer
4) Place hoop in machine and stitch out runes (all but last color)
5) Remove hoop from machine.- not the fabric from hoop! Trim jump stitches
6) Spray back of stabilizer and stick another piece of felt on the back
7) Carefully place hoop back on machine and stitch out last color (the circles).
8) remove hoop from machine and fabric from hoop. Cut carefully around each circle.
9) Tada! you have runes!

* you may use any stabilizer you desire for these designs. I prefer to use heavyweight cutaway as usually you can remove all stabilizer from design easily. If you use a soft tearaway or cutaway, you may just cut it along with the felt. Usually the little that is left in the felt "sandwich" is not very noticeable.
** I prefer to use the Wool Blend Felt and Joann's for these. Craft felt may be used but the Wool Blend is so much nicer. It FEELS better, is an all natural fiber and is much more durable.
