This pendant has been hand created using the decoupage technique on an image of a vintage religious plaque.
When I moved into my house in Spain, there was, and still is, a beautiful tin plaque on one of the old heavy wooden exterior doors. The plaque is the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and I have photographed it many times.
The plaque - and therefore the image, have aged and distressed naturally, with genuine rust and dents clearly showing!

This image has been printed on card, and has been carefully sealed many, many times and sits securely on a charming antiqued bronze, oval Victorian style bevelled pendant tray. The surround of the decoupaged image has been gold leafed. The reverse side of the pendant is convex and has a lovely embossed pattern.

Dangling from the pendant is a bronze open worked charm with a heart detail, and a citrine yellow faceted crystal. The pendant has a good sized antiqued bronze link and is ready to hang on your favourite chain!

The pendant measures two and a quarter inches high, and one and three quarter inches across. The hanging charm and crystal measure two inches.
