Steampunk Fantasy Earrings 'Bubo- Altered Vintage Ruby Jewel Movements Adorned with Geniune Peridot, Brass Components

'Bubo', the genus of common name 'Great Horn Owl', is inspired by a creation of the late master animator, Ray Harryhausen. In 'Clash of the Titans', The Greek Gods create a mechanical owl muse to guide Perseus on his journey to rescue his newlywed wife, 'Andromeda'.

This dainty earring design employs tiny, rare shape oval vintage watch movements, to keep them lightweight. Bubo bodies are embelished with hand forged brass wings and sterling silver bezel set geniune peridot 'eyes'. The breasts are adorned with ruby jewels, an ode to fine vintage clockwork.

They measure 46mm tall including the brass jump ring and earwire with 'coil' detail. bubo is harnessed by a brass connector with filigree design, mounted at the rear, as shown in the last picture.
