What a find! These vintage spectacles magnify what ever you see through them! They adjust just like a pince-nez so that they will stay steady on your nose. Of course you can use them as intended - for close work, or consider them for a unique costume accessory. But we think they would be better employed as a terrific embellishment or focal point for your assemblage!Well, we have sold these glasses for over 10 years and all along, we were pretty sure that the lenses were glass and that the frames are black Bakelite or celluloid with a metal adjusting hinge. But, thanks to a very alert customer, we are now pretty sure that the lenses are plastic.
