victoria - velvet cloche hat
Description
This hat has been traveling around with me for the last week or so. I've been working on it with every spare minute that I can come across! :)It is completely hand-sewn by me. I started with a big piece of vintage mauve-colored velvet.
I then kind of formed and pinned it around my head.
As I started sewing, the fabric kind of naturally led me to make all these ripples and rosettes. Fun!
There's even a full lining from some Navy blue polka dot fabric.
It sits on the head like a cloche-- kind of romantic....
It's lovely for those first crisp fall days and is stylish to wear in winter snow :)
It will fit a 23" head perfectly, but if yours is a bit smaller, it will just sit lower down.
