Kosher Salt Bowl - Hand-decorated

I use Kosher salt exclusively when I cook and I wanted it right next to my stove top. So, I bought a glass covered bowl and covered it with polymer clay. I use it every day and decided it would be an excellent item for my shop.

To cover this bowl (and the handle), I used my "circles in squares" cane and enlarged it by running through my clay machine several times. I love the way it turned out! I cut letters from the same design to spell out "Salt" and applied to the top. After curing, I hand-sanded and buffed to bring out a soft sheen.

To clean, simply hand-wash with warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Please do not put it in the dishwasher.

NOTE: The clay is on the outside of the bowl only so the salt does not come in contact with it.
