Moon Over Paris necklace

Description

I simply love the moon - especially the golden full moon, when it's just above the horizon. I tried to capture it in my moon bead.
Paris - this city of romance. What could be more romantic than a full moon behind the Eifel tower? I have never seen the scene in real (I don't even know, if this situation is possible), but in my imagination I saw it - oh, so kitschy, but lovely :)

For the necklace I used my brass supplies (mostly antiqued style), some Swarovski crystal beads (pale yellow) and my own handmade pressed glass bead (white with bits of yellow and partially golden shine). It's hard to capture the color of the moon bead in the photos. The ones with the darker background show it better.

• made by me in my home studio on my dual gas torch
• made of Italian soft glass aka soda lime glass
• properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln
• about 2.7cm/1.06" in diameter
• about 0.9cm/0.35" thick

The necklace is about 39cm/15.35" long incl. the bead.

I'm sure, most of you are aware of these things.

• Although the bead is properly annealed to ensure strength, it's still made of glass, so it may break if it falls and you may get injured by broken glass. So please handle it with care and be careful. If you do so, I'm sure you'll enjoy this necklace for a long time.
