This jpeg photo/digital scan is of a French postcard postmarked Dec. 28, 1918, on the back -- Dec. 28. Imagine: the first World War had just ended.... This is an adorable little girl with her hair piled high on her head, entwined with blue ribbon that matches her dress. I love the way the color tinting looks very realistic on some parts (like the little gir's hair)and yet quite fake or obvious on others (the roses.) On my original card, there's even thick gold leaf paint around the gown's lacy neckline.
