Star Laurel Necklace

Description

Tough enough for a guy but lovely and simple enough for any girl - fellow jeweler Emily Postula of Torch Song Metals and I created this necklace as a more unisex option.

In antiquity, a wreath of laurel foliage was worn on the head as an emblem of victory. With a decided military flair (maybe a bit steampunk?), we've even added a nautical star in the center.

Hand cast in solid sterling silver, the pendant spans about 1.5" in diameter. The thick rectangular sterling cable chain balances the size of the pendant, coming out of each laurel tip to encircle the nape of the neck.
