My wife and I have a friend named Wendy who is a very talented photographer. Wendy and an associate of hers, along with several interested friends, rented a fancy hotel suite and shot a whole bunch of "boudoir" style photographs (this is a service Wendy offers, by the way, along with your more standard family portraiture, weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc.). And, during this 'boudoir' session, not surprisingly (to me, anyway) my wife, Rachel, was the only subject (of at least five individuals) to strip naked. Yes.

Needless to say, the photos were and are just gorgeous; and one in particular was beautiful in a very classical way, and that photo was what I worked from to create this portrait.

Because it's a portrait of my wife, I was (and still am, a bit) reluctant to put it up for sale; but, it was my wife who said "If someone wants to buy it, sell it, you can always paint another one." She's right, of course.

The painting is stretched on deep bars and the sides have been painted and varnished; and it is wired and ready for hanging. The only frame I would recommend is the only frame I ever put on any of my paintings... A float frame. Maybe one with silver or gold leafing on the face would look lovely.

The painting has been varnished with the preferred, steadfast 'Kamar.'
