Description
Beautiful Cameo Creation painting portrait of Mrs. Croker by Sir Thomas Lawrence. It is a concave front cameo set on a burnt red velvet with an ornate gold frame. It has the original sticker on the back, "Mrs. Croker by Sir Thomas Lawrence". It is circa 1940's and is in beautiful condition. It measures 6" high and 5 1/4" wide. See others in our shop.Cameo Creations were produced in the 1930s through 1960s and incorporated prints of women’s portraits painted by famous artists of the 18th and 19th Centuries that were hanging in art galleries around the world. They were produced to imitate the expensive miniature portraits that were unaffordable to the average person.
