Vintage Kaiser Gottschlich Child with Garden Cart Plate Decorative West Germany

Description

Adorable decorative plate by Kaiser West Germany. Brightly colored design of a tow headed child dressed in gardening gear (patched pants, floppy sun hat, apron and garden clogs) pulling a wooden cart full of potted plants. There is an uh-oh expression on the face as the cart has hit a bump and one of the flower pots is tipping over. A little brown and red bird is chirping nearby while a butterfly soars past. Signed Gottschlich near the bird’s feet.

Plate measures almost 7.75 inches in diameter. Marked on the back Kaiser W. Germany. There are four little holes on the back for you to thread a ribbon or twine through for easy hanging and display. Marked with a number 12 between 2 of the holes.

There are no chips or cracks and the colors are still vivid. Tiny spot of rubbing along the rim. Overall in good condition. Happy decorative piece to add a touch of whimsy to your home – and a great gift for someone, a grandparent perhaps, who loves children and gardening.
