Kaiser Gottschlich Child with Birds in Garden Plate Decorative West Germany

Description

Sweet decorative plate by Kaiser West Germany. Brightly colored design of a dark haired child in the flower garden whistling to a little bird standing on his/her hand. The freckled child is dressed in ragamuffin style – patched and frayed cut offs, mended shirt, floppy brimmed hat with a feather, brown boots. A butterfly hovers nearby while the bird in hand looks like it is listening intently. Another little bird standing in the garden chirping at the child. Marked Gottschlich near the boots.

Plate measures almost 7.75 inches in diameter. Signed/marked on the back Kaiser W. Germany. There are four little holes on the back for you to thread a ribbon or twine through for easy hanging and display. There is a number 12 marked between 2 of the holes.

No chips or cracks and the colors are still bold and strong. Overall in good to very good condition. Happy decorative piece to add a touch of whimsy to your home – and a great gift for someone who loves being out in the garden with nature!
